Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of the Solar launcher, the Solar client, this website, our Discord bot and the Solar store (together, “Solar”). By using Solar you agree to them. If you don't, please don't use Solar.

Who can use Solar

You need a legitimate copy of Minecraft: Java Edition on a Microsoft account. If you're under the age of digital consent where you live, you need a parent or guardian's permission, and they need to make any purchases.

Not affiliated with Mojang or Microsoft

Solar is an independent project. It is not an official Minecraft product and is not approved by or associated with Mojang or Microsoft. Your use of Minecraft is still governed by the Minecraft EULA and Microsoft's terms.

Your account

Solar identifies you by your Minecraft account. You're responsible for what happens on it. Don't share it, sell it, or use Solar to access accounts that aren't yours. We can suspend Solar access for accounts involved in fraud, chargebacks, harassment, or attempts to break or abuse our services.

Fair play

Solar is built to be allowed on servers. Don't modify it, inject code into it or combine it with tools to gain an unfair advantage. Servers set their own rules — if a server bans you for breaking them, that's between you and the server.

Coins and cosmetics

• Coins are a virtual currency you can only use inside Solar. They have no cash value, can't be exchanged for money, and can't be transferred except through the gifting features we provide.
• When you buy a cosmetic, you get a license to use it with your account on Solar for as long as Solar operates. You don't own the artwork itself.
• Cosmetics are visible to other Solar players only. We may adjust their artwork over time to fix problems or keep them working with new versions.
• Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.

Solar+ membership

• Solar+ is an optional subscription. It renews automatically at the price shown when you subscribed, every month or every year depending on the plan, until you cancel.
• You can cancel renewal at any time from your account. You won't be charged again and you keep every benefit until the end of the period you already paid for.
• The benefits are the ones listed on the Solar+ page at any given time. We may add, change or retire benefits; we won't retire one you've already paid for in the middle of a period without giving you a fair alternative or a proportional refund.
• Members-only cosmetics are available while your membership is active. Cosmetics you bought with coins or received as gifts are never removed when a membership ends.
• If a renewal payment fails, you keep Solar+ for a few days while it's retried; if it still fails, the membership ends. A payment dispute suspends the membership until it's resolved.
• Solar+ is cosmetic and social. It doesn't give any gameplay advantage.
• Payments are handled by our payment provider. Solar never receives or stores your full card details.

Acceptable content

Usernames, skins and anything you post through our Discord or bot must not be hateful, sexual, threatening or illegal. We may remove content and restrict access when they are.

Changes and availability

We work hard to keep Solar running, but we provide it “as is”, without guarantees that it will always be available or error-free. We may change or discontinue features. If we ever shut down the store, we'll announce it at least 30 days in advance.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, Solar is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for any amount above what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer protection law that can't be waived.

Changes to these terms

When we change these terms in a meaningful way, we'll post it in the news and on Discord before it takes effect. Continuing to use Solar after that means you accept the new terms.
